Canyon Ferry was the only option while I was in Guadeloupe. It has 7 or 8 features of which the most dramatic are 4 waterfalls. It is not particularly difficult to go down (and in) them, provided one has had some experience on rope descents. Olivier checks everyone out on technique before the start. This option may be more strenuous than others because of the ‘walk’ to the river, which is actually a scramble down fairly steep slopes. Since the river is better for canyoning after rain, this can translate into a somewhat challenging trek in mud! Also, the rocks along the river on which one walks from feature to feature are quite slippery. If in doubt as to the suitability of shoes, check with Olivier to prevent falls. Overall this is a nice expedition for those in good physical condition.
